War, as a complex and multidimensional socio political phenomenon, imposes profound and far reaching consequences on affected societies. The present study aimed to investigate The Prediction Predicting of War Anxiety Based on Attachment Styles in Adolescents. This study employed a descriptive correlational design. The statistical population consisted of all adolescent students in the cities of Ardakan and Meybod during the 2025–2026 academic year. Participants were selected using convenience sampling. The research instruments included the Shomali and Barkhordari War Anxiety Questionnaire (2025) and the Hazan and Shaver Attachment Style Questionnaire (1987). After removing outlier scores, a total of 346 questionnaires were retained for analysis and were examined using SPSS v26 through multiple regression analysis. The findings indicated a significant positive association between avoidant insecure and ambivalent insecure attachment styles and war anxiety (p < .01), and a significant negative association between secure attachment and war anxiety (p < .01). Furthermore, avoidant insecure (β = .138), secure (β = −.214), and ambivalent insecure (β = .178) attachment styles made significant contributions to the prediction of war anxiety, with the regression model accounting for 13.3% of the variance in war anxiety (p < .01). In light of these findings, attachment styles appear to play a crucial role in explaining individuals’ psychological responses to threatening and stressful situations. Therefore, attending to attachment patterns within educational programs and psychological interventions may help reduce war related anxiety and promote mental health among students.
