The present study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the efficient dynamics of the ecosystem within Family-Type Residential Care centers. These centers, as substitutes for the family unit, play a significant role in meeting the psychological, emotional, and social needs of orphaned and at-risk children. However, the effectiveness of these centers is not limited to material resources; rather, it depends on the quality of relationships, internal structures, and interactions with external institutions. This research employed a qualitative approach using Braun and Clarke’s (2006) thematic analysis method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with eight staff members of Family-Type Residential Care centers in Tehran Province (six women and two men with 2 to 9 years of work experience). During the analysis process, 138 open codes, 23 subthemes, four main themes, and one core theme were extracted. The results indicated that the efficient dynamics of the Family-Type Residential Care ecosystem manifest at four levels: attitudinal (dignity-centeredness, identity building, and collective responsibility), relational (secure relationship quality and collective participation), structural (flexibility in roles and system boundaries), and institutional (human-centered welfare policies and sustainable external support). The findings underscore the importance of integrating a humanistic, dignity-oriented perspective with supportive relationships, flexible structures, and stable institutional support to create a safe environment that promotes balanced development for children. Accordingly, designing comprehensive welfare policies and rethinking the structural and managerial approaches of these centers can contribute to enhancing children’s quality of life and ensuring a more hopeful future for them
