Background and purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effective components in the social adaptation of teenagers dependent on cyberspace. Research method: The current research was a descriptive phenomenological qualitative study. The statistical population was adolescent girls aged 12 to 18 years old in Talesh city of Gilan province in the summer quarter of 1402, who were dependent on cyberspace. Targeted sampling was done using Yang's cyberspace addiction questionnaire, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 11 people and continued until reaching the saturation level and repeating the answers. In the data analysis, the seven-step collage method was used. Findings: From a total of 11 interviews, 3 main themes and 9 sub-themes were classified, which are: the main theme "dynamism and active participation" with sub-themes: "strengthening coexistence and lack of bigoted attitude" and "understanding and accepting the international culture of non-racial discrimination" "; The main theme of "emotional efficiency" with sub-themes: "interpersonal intelligence", "emotional intelligence", "increasing self-confidence", "strengthening and expanding self-esteem"; The main theme of "skills to influence the social environment" is classified with sub-themes: "managing interpersonal conflict", "planning and intentionality", "cognitive and emotional orientation". Conclusion: The results showed that the components related to self-efficacy belief in adolescents dependent on cyberspace have a positive effect on social adaptation. Therefore, it is necessary for administrators and guardians to take into account the needs of adolescence and use the opportunity of communication technology to strengthen and nurture self-efficacy in adolescents
