The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on the meaning and academic diligence of female students involved in parental divorce.Method: This research was carried out by experimental method and pre-test-post-test design with a control group. Sampling method of this study was purposive sampling that 20 divorced children in two groups of control (n = 14) and experimental (n = 14) with Barton hardworking scale(1989) and Krembach and Maholik life significance questionnaire (1964) were examined in two pretest and posttest. In the implementation phase, the students of the experimental group were trained for 10 sessions of 60 minutes using act techniques based on Hayes training package. Result: Finally, multivariate analysis of covariance (MANOVA) was used to analyze the data. The calculated F value for significant variables and academic hard work showed a significant difference in both groups (p≤0/001). Conclusion: In general, the Act method had an effect on the sense of meaning life and academic diligence of adolescent female students involved in parental divorce, and such a study highlights the need for future action in discussing the mental health of divorced children and helping them return to normal functioning.
