Purpose: The purpose of this research was to predict the self-efficacy of adolescents based on perfectionism and the life expectancy of mothers. Research method: The statistical population of the present study was all the first high school students of Nasimshahr in Tehran and their mothers (age range 30 to 45 years) in the years 1401-1402. By using Tabachnik and Fidel's formula and considering the possibility of attrition, the sample size was increased from 120 people to 160 people. The sampling method was available. To collect data, Terry-Short et al.'s perfectionism scale (1995), Sherer et al.'s (1982) self-efficacy scale, and Schneider et al.'s (1991) life expectancy scale were used. Data analysis was done using Pearson correlation and regression in Spss software version 24. Findings: The results of the research showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between positive perfectionism, agentive thinking, and strategic thinking of mothers with adolescent self-efficacy. Also, there is a negative and significant relationship between mothers' negative perfectionism and teenagers' self-efficacy (P<0.01). The regression results showed that positive perfectionism and strategic thinking of mothers have the power to positively predict the self-efficacy of adolescents (P<0.01). Also, mothers' negative perfectionism has the power to predict adolescents' self-efficacy in a negative way (P<0.01). Conclusion: Therefore, by improving the perfectionism and life expectancy of mothers, it is possible to help increase the self-efficacy of adolescents.
